Material Compliance & Safety

This document outlines the material compliance principles and safety considerations applied to ONESIKA jewelry components. It is intended to clarify regulatory alignment, material boundaries, and intended use conditions.

This page does not constitute a certification or guarantee for specific applications, and should be read as a general compliance reference.

1. Scope of Application

ONESIKA products covered by this documentation include:

  • Jewelry findings and assembly components

  • Decorative metal components for jewelry making

  • Non-electronic, non-coated-for-consumption items

These components are designed for decorative jewelry assembly purposes only.

2. Regulatory Alignment (General)

ONESIKA selects materials and manufacturing processes with reference to commonly recognized regulatory frameworks applicable to decorative jewelry components, including but not limited to:

  • Restrictions on hazardous substances (RoHS-style substance limits)

  • REACH-related substance considerations for metals and surface finishes

  • Common marketplace requirements for lead, cadmium, and nickel content

Compliance evaluation is based on material selection, supplier documentation, and periodic review, rather than continuous batch-level certification.

3. Restricted Substances Consideration

ONESIKA jewelry components are manufactured using materials selected to limit the presence and release of substances commonly regulated in decorative metal products, including:

  • Lead (Pb)

  • Cadmium (Cd)

  • Nickel (Ni) (content and release considerations)

Material choices prioritize structural suitability and surface stability, while aligning with typical restrictions for non-medical, non-food-contact jewelry applications.

4. Nickel Sensitivity Considerations

Nickel content and release are subject to varying international definitions and testing methods. ONESIKA does not claim nickel-free status unless explicitly stated for a specific product.

Components may contain nickel as part of metal alloys or plating systems and are not certified as hypoallergenic.

Users with known metal sensitivities should exercise discretion and conduct appropriate testing before use.

5. Intended Use & Limitations

ONESIKA jewelry components are intended for:

  • Jewelry assembly

  • Decorative and structural jewelry applications

They are not designed, tested, or certified for the following uses:

  • Medical or surgical applications

  • Food-contact or ingestible products

  • Children's toys or products subject to toy safety regulations

  • Applications requiring certified biocompatibility or allergen-free guarantees

6. Safety & Handling Notes

  • Jewelry components may contain small parts and are not suitable for children.

  • Finished jewelry assembled using these components should be evaluated as a complete product by the maker.

  • Proper handling and assembly techniques are recommended to maintain structural integrity and surface condition.

7. Documentation & Verification

Where required for business-to-business (B2B) transactions, platform compliance reviews, or regulatory inquiries, relevant material information or third-party test documentation may be provided upon request, subject to availability and applicability.

Public disclosure of test reports is not standard practice for decorative jewelry components.

8. Interpretation Notes

  • This document is provided for informational and reference purposes only.

  • It does not replace legal, regulatory, or compliance advice applicable to specific jurisdictions.

  • Requirements may vary by country, region, and application context.
